Vulnerable Sector Screening

Until further notice, the RCMP has ordered all third party Companies performing Crime Record Checks to NOT process Vulnerable Sector Screening Checks.

We are working closely with the RCMP to resolve this.

If you need a Vulnerable Sector Screening Check, please contact your local Police Service for now.

Protecting children, the elderly, and the infirm

If your employees come in contact with anyone in the vulnerable sector, such as children, the elderly, or the infirm, it's socially responsible to make sure your employees are solid citizens. Any persons coming in contact with members of the vulnerable sector must complete a Vulnerable Sector Screening a minimum of every two years.

What does a Vulnerable Sector Screening include?

We search the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) for the following information on applicants:

  • Findings of not guilty by reason of mental disorder
  • Probation, prohibition and other judicial orders which are in effect
  • Convictions or pending charges under Child & Family Services Act
  • Apprehension under the Mental Health Act
  • Notable incidents such as charges where no finding of guilt was made or where no charges were laid.

Contact CRC today for more information about combining a Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Screening report.
